The ZJ Roots vacuum pump consists of an externally fixed outer rotor and an internally rotating inner rotor.These two rotors are usually in the shape of shoe soles or blades,and they rotate synchronously and in opposite directions inside the pump chamber.When the ZJ Roots vacuum pump is started,the two rotors begin to rotate synchronously and in opposite directions.At the suction port,due to the rotation of the rotors,a low-pressure area is formed,allowing external gas to be sucked into the space between the rotors and the pump casing.

As the rotor continues to rotate,the inhaled gas is gradually compressed.Due to the special shape and synchronous rotation of the rotor,the gas is effectively pushed through the pump chamber,but it is not internally compressed like other types of pumps.Therefore,the compression ratio of ZJ Roots vacuum pump is relatively low,and a front-end pump is usually required to assist in achieving higher vacuum levels.
When the compressed gas reaches the exhaust port,due to the high gas pressure on the exhaust side,some of the gas will be flushed back into the pump chamber,causing a sudden increase in gas pressure.However,as the rotor rotates further,this gas will eventually be expelled from the pump and enter the vacuum system.
